K-beauty fans will be happy to see a Korean brand representative in this list. The Innisfree’s Jeju volcanic line is definitely within our radar for products that help with pore management and oil control.

Although the most famous product in the line is probably the clay mask, this oil control blotting paper is the often glossed over cousin that reviewers are loving. It keeps your oily sheen away with their base material – Jeju scoria – which is the same ingredient found in the famous clay mask.

If you have a bit of extra cash, check out 3CE’s Blotting Paper Purple at Sephora. With a hefty price tag of SGD27 in comparison to those available in drug stores, its effectiveness in mattifying skin over makeup is not negligible.

What makes it stand out from other options is that it absorbs seven more sebum, skin oils, and skin moisture compared to common blotting papers. And it sounds like this claim is true; a reviewer on the Sephora website says that she could see oil absorbed by the blotting paper even on area that doesn’t look too oily. This being said, if you have dry or dehydrated skin, it might be a good idea to go easy with these papers from 3CE.
