It seems that the hype for the ultra, no-shine matte lippies is finally dying out, and in its place, recent spring and summer 2018 runways of the likes of Chanel, Dries Van Noten, Giambattisa Valli, Alexander McQueen and many others have chosen to feature glossy, plump natural-coloured lips that’ve spread like wildfire all over Instagram, with people opting to replace their pre-loved matte lippies with glosses.
With celebs taking the hilt and rocking lip glosses more than matte lippies, for the matte lippie lovers – it looks like the gloss is here to stay.

21. Kat Von D Everlasting Glimmer Veil
It seems that Kat Von D too, after having pushed out new matte formula after matte formula, has finally decided to jump onto the gloss bandwagon. Price: SGD 35
Where to buy: Sephora
22. Tony Moly Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint
Come on – let’s be honest – we were all pretty darn swayed by the packaging itself, because who doesn’t like the thought of waking up in the morning to apply a lip gloss that comes in a totally adorable mini wine bottle packaging.
But in addition to that, not only does it apply smooth, is hugely pigmented, waterproof, gives the classic iridescent shine of a good gloss, PLUS, it also contains Sepivinol, an extract of aged wine to moisturise your lips. So technically, you will be putting wine on your lips, which is enticing enough to actually want to buy it.
P.S. Warning: Lip gloss not actually edible, however enticing it may smell.
Price: SGD 23.90
Where to buy: In all Tony Moly outlets.
23. The Face Shop’s Coca Cola Lip Tint
Okay, let’s be honest – we would get this even if it wasn’t a lipgloss.
BUT, far from gimmicky, this product actually received rave compliments online, for its vibrant colours (albeit limited), moisturising properties, as well as its striking similarity to the Coke drink itself, right down to the fizziness of an actual Coke drink. Yep.
Pair this with one of those lazy, minimal makeup days for a fresh, radiant look. By the way, you can read more about the collection here.
Price: SGD 17
Where to get: Available in The Face Shop stores, but stock is subject to availability since it is a limited edition. If not, head straight to Qoo10 for your Coca Cola fix!
