The biggest skincare trick up our sleeves? Sunscreen, of course. Wearing SPF daily – even when you’re indoors – protects our skin from harmful, damage-causing UV rays that can cause sun spots, premature skin ageing, and so much more. However, we know first-hand that finding the right sunscreen for you and your skin type can be tricky.

Sometimes, we want our sunscreen to do more than just protect our skin from UV rays too. A sunscreen that can double up as a makeup primer, brighten our skin tone, and control sebum production throughout the day sounds like an absolute dream. Well, skincare and makeup brand Cute Press has turned that into a reality with the Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++.

To find out just how effective the sunscreen is, Daily Vanity has invited 10 readers to give us their honest opinions about the product. You’ll be pleased to know that its average verdict for the sunscreen was a 4.85-star rating out of 5!

Before we get into the reviews, let’s learn a little more about the sunscreen.

When I first tried the Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen, I was able to dispense the product easily and it smelled pretty good. It felt really light on my skin too.

It dried down really fast and it felt like I was using a primer! It gave me the brightest glow that looked really natural, as if I was wearing a light layer of foundation without the coverage.

The sunscreen helped a lot with my oil production throughout the day. The smooth texture really made my skin feel baby soft and the instant glow I got the moment I blended it out was impeccable.

I was able to use it as a sunscreen, primer, and even a tone up cream. Overall, this is one of the more versatile sunscreens out there that’s value for money!

The Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen has a super cute, easy-to-use packaging. It brightened my skin and made me look healthier by adding a bit of colour to my face.

It provides enough coverage to be worn alone when I go out. And best of all, it doesn’t make my face feel tacky or get oily throughout the day. The sunscreen worked well as a primer and it helped my base makeup last longer. In fact, my tinted moisturiser and foundation didn’t ball up at all when I applied them over the sunscreen.

Overall, the sunscreen worked better than I had expected. I didn’t experience any patchiness or greasiness throughout the day, so I would definitely keep using it.

I love the packaging – it’s really cute and not too big, so it is easy to bring along if I’m going on a staycation. The scent isn’t too overpowering and it has a sweet, pleasant scent that I like.

Compared to the other sunscreen I was using, Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen actually made my skin more glowy. I was surprised to see its brightening effect, and it did not make my face oily throughout the day. My skin felt more moisturised and the sunscreen kept my skin smooth all day.

My skin used to get oily by midday, but it didn’t happen with the Cute Press sunscreen. It helped my makeup last longer too. It was definitely a great experience as I finally found something that works very well for my skin type.

I didn’t experience any breakouts with this product too. It left a bit of a white cast, but it didn’t bother me much as it wasn’t too obvious.

The packaging of the Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen is really cute and the scent of the product is really nice too. My skin definitely looks brighter and the product didn’t leave a white cast, which is great.

It didn’t feel sticky on my skin and it made my skin feel smoother too. My skin looked more radiant and glowy after application – perfect for those who like the “no makeup” makeup look.

My foundation appears less cakey on top of the sunscreen and served well as a primer, which is great because I put on makeup every day. It really saves me the trouble and time of putting on SPF, primer, and base makeup.

The Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen has cute packaging, an acceptable scent, and it absorbs quickly. I try not to apply too much as it can cause white streaks and it can start to cake around the nose as well as dry areas of the face.

This sunscreen was able to brighten my complexion and provides slight coverage around my under-eye area too, which allows me to use less concealer under my eyes. Compared to another tone up sunscreen I was using, the Cute Press sunscreen is definitely lighter in texture and doesn’t cause any white streaks!

I would repurchase this for its tone up effect and lightweight texture. It does a great job at brightening my complexion too.

The pink packaging was simple yet cute – it matches with the rest of my skincare and looked good on my dressing table. The Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen has a light, cotton-like scent that was pleasant and not overpowering.

It has a soft, creamy texture that didn’t suffocate my skin too. After giving it about two to five minutes to settle, it blended into my skin and gave me a very natural glow. It left a silky finish on my oily skin too.

When I used this under my concealer, my concealer didn’t cake as quickly. After 11 hours, my face didn’t look oily and still felt comfortable after work. My cousin, who has sensitive skin, tried this sunscreen too and she loved it! It works well on different skin tones and it made my skin look great and feel softer.

I heard that sunscreen is an important step that helps acne scars to heal, which is why I wear it daily. It comes in a simple, easy-to-use packaging that’s small and easy to bring around. The sunscreen has a creamy, lightweight texture that blended and absorbed easily into my skin too. It didn’t feel tacky, sticky, or look streaky.

When I tried it for the first time, the Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen definitely brightened my skin. The formula is extremely lightweight and helps moisturise and protect my skin. My foundation and concealer went on much smoother and my base makeup actually lasted longer.

It’s lightweight and works amazing as a makeup primer. In fact, it brightened my face and helped me appear more awake. Overall, it was quite an amazing experience.

The consistency of the Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen is similar to that of a liquid foundation and it doesn’t smell like a chemical sunscreen. Its silky, lightweight, and blendable texture went on smoothly on my skin. Plus, it settled really quickly without feeling tacky.

It really brightened and evened out my complexion too, so I was able to wear it out without foundation and let my skin rest. The tone up effect looked natural and lasted throughout the day as well. It’s perfect for days when I just want to go foundation-free but still look bright and refreshed!

This is the first sunscreen I’ve tried that mattifies the skin and helps with sebum control – great for Singapore’s weather. My forehead is a lot less oily at the end of the day.

I was able to dispense the sunscreen easily with a light squeeze and the formula isn’t too runny. The sunscreen has a faint floral scent and it didn’t feel oily on my skin too. Initially, the pink tone of the sunscreen scared me, but it disappeared after blending it in – it gave my skin a slight glow too.

I also applied another layer of sunscreen midday, and it didn’t ball up on top of my initial layer of sunscreen. It also didn’t feel heavy when I reapplied it. As a makeup primer, it helped my concealer and compact powder settle much more quickly than on bare skin! It helped my makeup last longer too because it gave my skin a smooth matte finish.

This sunscreen is the first product I tried that doubled up as a primer. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise to discover that a product like this exists and performs well! As a base and as sunscreen before makeup, this is truly one of a kind.

The sunscreen I was using previously had a very thick consistency that felt sticky on my skin. It clogged my pores and made me break out. The Cute Press All Day Bright Tone Up Sunscreen has quite a thick texture, so I had to massage it into my skin for quite some time before it fully blended in.

It immediately gave my skin a semi-matte finish, which I liked as I have very oily skin. The tint in the sunscreen definitely made my skin look brighter and more evened out too. Since the sunscreen has a mattifying effect, it’s best to use a dewy foundation over it.

This sunscreen has worked very well in our hot and humid climate too, and my skin didn’t feel greasy throughout the day. Overall, I liked that this sunscreen is tinted and was able to correct my skin tone, which means I can skip my CC cream if I am in a rush.
