How long do you usually leave your deep conditioners on your hair for? Five minutes? Three?

Well, we’ve heard of many that recommend at least three minutes of leaving in, and very few that say they can work in one minute. So you could probably imagine how surprised we were when we hear the claim by the latest deep conditioners from L’Oreal Paris: one second.

Yes, you read it right. It takes just as long for you to say “deep conditioner for hair” for the new L’Oreal Paris Rapid Reviver Deep Conditioners to work.

L’Oreal Paris Rapid Reviver: How does it work?

L’Oreal Paris is the leading hair treatment brand in the market and the new Rapid Reviver range of hair conditioners sound exciting.

These hair conditioners are infused with serums, and thanks to these serums, Rapid Reviver also claims to be able to deliver two times more detangling effect and two times less breakage compared to a regular conditioner.

This means that these deep conditioners are able to repair and nourish hair thoroughly, and without any leave-in time.

There are three variants in the L’Oreal Paris Rapid Reviver range and each of them contain a different ingredient that addresses a unique hair issue:

  • For dry hair: Extraordinary Oil contains Floral Oils and is designed to nourish and revive dry hair
  • For damaged hair: Total Repair 5 is infused with Micro-Ceramide to repair and transform damaged hair
  • For fragile hair: Fall Resist is enriched with Arginine to strengthen and protect weak strands

Hair concern: Dry hair

Loreal Paris Rapid Reviver Review Dry Hair

I have dry hair and it makes my tresses look dull and frizzy. I know that hair masking is going to help improve my hair condition, but between a busy work schedule and taking care of a baby, I really find it hard to spend 10 to 15 minutes sitting in the bathroom to wait for hair mask to set in.

I have been using a deep conditioner from a luxury professional brand and it has been my go-to solution so far. I only have to leave it on for three to five minutes, and it leaves my hair feeling much more moisturised whenever I use it.

And then I hear about the new Rapid Reviver Deep Conditioners that claim to require no leave-in time at all. Apply it, wash it off. Yes, just like that. I’m not even missing a beat.

I have always liked the Extraordinary Oil line of products, especially the treatment oil, because I find that it is very nourishing on my hair and helps my hair ends regain their shine quickly. This is probably why I already had a good impression of the new deep conditioner from the Extraordinary Oil line before I even tried it.

Thankfully, it didn’t disappoint.

My first impression was great. It smelt very good and had a rich texture that felt luxurious on my hair. After applying it thoroughly onto my tresses, I didn’t wait and rinsed it off immediately – as instructed. I could instantly feel that I could comb through my hair with my fingers a lot more easily. I’m impressed!

After my hair dried, it felt smoother and softer. The next morning, I also noticed there was more shine and “life” to my tresses!

Having used it for one week (on alternate days), I find that my hair was more manageable than before.

I am surprised that it gave similar – if not better – results than my regular conditioner (from the luxury professional brand), and require much less time commitment. Of course, it’s also way cheaper than my regular conditioner so I can’t be happier with it!

Hair concern: Damaged hair

Loreal Paris Rapid Reviver Review Damaged Hair

My hair has become damaged and frizzy since I bleached my hair two years ago. Since then, I have been using a hair conditioner diligently on a daily basis to keep my hair tame and smooth.

I usually look out for deep conditioning treatment products as they are typically more effective at treating damaged hair. I also prefer rinse-out treatment as compared to leave-in ones, because it saves me time. This is something important to me because the last thing I want is to spend a lot of time on hair care after a tiring day at work.

While I’ve been conscientious with conditioning my hair and also tend to use a considerably large amount of conditioner and leave it on for five to 10 mins for it to be effective, I have yet to find a conditioner that can provide me with a lasting solution. This means that I’m still on the lookout for something that works for me.

I have been using the L’Oreal Paris Rapid Reviver from the Total Repair 5 range for a week, and it has topped off as one of my favourite hair treatment products now.

It has a very pleasant scent compared to a few other deep conditioners I’ve tried that come with a chemical smell. The texture of the product is very consistent and rich, making it easy to apply to my hair. It worked very well in nourishing my hair, leaving it feeling silky soft and manageable just after my first use.

While most deep conditioners I’ve tried require leaving in for some time before they could take effect, the L’Oreal Paris Rapid Reviver worked wonders in a second. It is a great product for people who don’t have time to wait in the bathroom for their leave-in conditioner to get a full effect. I really enjoyed the convenience and the results.

And the best part of it all? The SGD9.90 price tag is very affordable and doesn’t break the bank!

Hair concern: Brittle hair

Loreal Paris Rapid Reviver Review Brittle Hair

I change hair conditioners very frequently because it has been hard to find one that can give my hair a nice glossy finish while strengthening my thin and fragile hair. And even if I manage to find one that can make my hair feel smooth immediately after wash, the effect is usually temporary.

My first impression of the L’Oreal Paris Rapid Reviver Deep Conditioner was good. It wasn’t greasy – something that I was pleasantly surprised by because some conditioners can feel very oily. I also liked the smell – it helped me feel more refreshed.

I liked that I only needed a small amount of the product and it was easy to spread it all over my hair.

After I washed it off, my hair actually felt stronger and less limp instantly! It also looked much smoother and shinier than before; and I’m not talking about the kind of fake, “plastic” grease that you get from silicon – something that I experience with other conditioners I’ve tried before.

On top of the satisfactory results, I loved that it was very convenient to use because I could wash it off immediately; other conditioners usually require you to leave it in for a while before you can wash it off. This one worked its magic in a second – literally!

Over the week, I noticed that there was also a lot less flyaways and hair loss. Previously, my hair looked very wispy and difficult to tame, especially when the weather gets very hot and humid. These days, it is not only much easier to control, but there has also been much less hair fall and breakage! This is one of the perks that I especially appreciated because it means I can spend less time styling my hair during the morning rush and get more time to sleep in or have a more leisurely breakfast. And who wouldn’t want that!

Are you ready to revive your hair in a second?
