The path to bright and glowing skin isn’t always easy. While most of us have no trouble adopting regular exfoliation or infusing radiance-ramping ingredients like vitamin C into our everyday skincare, not all of us can bear the painful extractions during and redness on our skin after a facial.
Since extractions help to degunk clogged pores and rid our skin of unsightly blackheads and whiteheads – an important step when it comes to getting glowy skin – we were more than happy when we stumbled upon a brightening facial that boasts an ultra-gentle yet thorough extraction process. It’s none other than OS Aesthetic’s 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial!
Besides pain-free extraction, the facial also includes a detailed digital skin analysis, TikTok-worthy bubble cleansing, and cold steam for brighter, clearer skin. All four out of four of our readers who tried this facial praised the gentle extraction process, and we share their reviews below!

Bonus: the spa’s located right in town at Orchard Central, so it’s hardly a hassle to head down to enjoy a luxurious facial experience and reap a renewed skin glow!
Writer’s review of OS Aesthetic 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial
OS Aesthetic’s 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial is one that promises to give customers smooth and glowing skin, which is why I was excited to head down to the spa for the review: it was just the right time for me to give my dull and tired-looking skin a radiance-boost.
The spa is tucked away within Orchard Central and might be a little challenging to locate for the first time.
Even though I got slightly lost, the staff on the phone gave me clear directions on how to get there; I soon found myself lounging within the cosy, pink-walled, warm-lit interior of the spa in a pair of comfy bedroom slippers and sipping on freshly served hot tea.
While the first step involved the usual filling up of a declaration form, the skin consultation in the next step really was set apart from ones at the other spas I’ve been to.
The esthetician led me to a skin analyser machine, where I rested my chin and forehead against two structures before being instructed to close my eyes. A few bright flashes later, several photos of my face showed up on a nearby screen – along with coloured lines that highlighted my skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, visible pores, and oily areas on my face.
The esthetician explained my skin concerns to me in detail and gave me tips on how I should better take care of my skin, which included eating more foods that have vitamin B and E content and paying better attention to hydration.
After pointing out the various facial treatments on the spa’s menu, she shared how the 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial, an advanced facial customised to each customer’s specific skin concerns, would help boost my skin’s radiance. Then, it was glow-getting go time.
The treatment process
Every facial begins with a cleansing step, but this one was special because it used a special oxygen bubble cleanser to remove the impurities from my skin.
The esthetician used a device to apply the bubble cleanser to my skin and, as I lay there, I could feel very light cloud-like foam brushing against my skin. Just when I thought it was time to wash away the bubble cleanser, the esthetician started pressing the foam down onto my skin.
The soft fizzing sounds were enough to give me a little ASMR treat. Coupled with the gentle sensation of bubbles diffusing on my skin, I felt like I was in skincare haven.
The bubble cleanser wasn’t just for fun though; the esthetician explained that the oxygen molecules helped to give the skin a deeper cleanse as they were tiny enough to penetrate my pores.
Pre-extraction, the esthetician applied a jojoba-infused exfoliating mask to my skin to soften my blackheads and whiteheads. She explained that it was suitable for even those with sensitive and eczema skin, and it made my skin feel slightly tingly as she left it on for a while.
The next surprising step in the facial was the steaming; instead of using hot steam to dilate my pores and prep my skin for the extraction, the esthetician used cold “steam” to do so.
As the cold mist streamed comfortably across my skin, the esthetician explained that it was better to use cold “steam” on dry or sensitive skin. Fitting, since dehydrated skin was one of my top skin concerns.
The most impressive step in the facial was none other than the extraction: the entire process was almost completely pain-free and the gentlest I’ve experienced out of all the facials I’ve had so far.
During the extraction, I only felt the esthetician’s ultra-gentle touch and a very light scraping or tweezing sensation that didn’t hurt at all – except, briefly, at the tip of my nose. In fact, the esthetician was so thorough and her touch was so delicate during the process that I fell asleep at one point, which was a first for me.
To allow moisture to better penetrate my skin post-extraction, she used a device to release oxygen and a hydration solution over my face.
I felt a very light and cool mist over my skin and was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to breathe when the device got close to my nose, but the esthetician was one step ahead. She pressed the device closer to my skin so that the serum-infused mist released directly onto my face without enveloping my nose.
She followed this step with the application of a Roseflower Hydro Gel, for firming and revitalising my skin, and used an ultrasound wand to massage my skin in upward motions.
Finally, to wrap up the pampering facial session, the esthetician applied a customised cellular mask to my face using a brush and layered it with a thick facial mask, which felt oh-so-refreshing on my skin.
My favourite part of the facial was the extra-thorough shoulder, back, and scalp massage that I enjoyed as the mask was left to sit. I felt the tensions and knots in my muscles release – just what I needed.
The facial ended with LED light therapy, which used blue light to kill acne-causing bacteria and reduce sebum on the skin.
At the end of the three-hour-long facial, my skin was free of its many blackheads and whiteheads so it looked smoother and more refined.
My skin also felt hydrated and more supple, and – when I arrived back at the office, my teammate told me that my skin was glowier than before!
Because it lets you enjoy an almost totally pain-free extraction process and uses mostly “cold” steps, OS Aesthetic’s 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial is especially great for those with low pain tolerance or sensitive skin.

OS Aesthetic 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial let me enjoy the most comfortable extraction I’ve ever experienced compared to other facial treatments I’ve gone for, and it also left my skin with a bright and radiant glow!
The esthetician started the session by using a facial analysis tool to identify the areas of concern for my skin. She also elaborated on the various identified concerns in detail and shared possible reasons for them. I thought that she was very detailed and knowledgeable about my skin’s issues.
The esthetician cleansed my face with an oil cleanser followed by an oxygen bubble cleanser, which made the whole experience very fun. During the extraction, she was very thorough and constantly checked in to make sure that the pain was manageable – it was. In fact, it was so comfortable that I nearly fell asleep.
I really enjoyed the shoulder and scalp massage that the esthetician gave me during the final mask step. The whole facial took around three hours, but I was very comfortable throughout.
At the end of the treatment, my skin felt refreshed, hydrated, and with a radiant glow. I loved the results of the facial and how well the esthetician took care of me, being very attentive to my needs during the entire treatment.
I also liked the spa’s location because it’s so central. I had an excellent experience at OS Aesthetic and would love to go for the 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial again.
Skin type: Combination-dry, sensitive
My sensitive skin gets red easily every time I go for a facial, and it always takes at least one day for the redness on my face to fade. However, OS Aesthetic 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial was the first time that I didn’t leave with red skin, which was amazing!
The skin analysis was done using the spa’s AI Image Analyzer and it identified that I had a lot of sebum on my face, especially on my T-zone and cheeks. I was really surprised to see that sebum was a concern for my skin, as I always thought that I had dry skin.
When I informed my esthetician that my skin gets red easily, she assured me that she would remove the blackheads from my face very gently. She also shared that I should see minimal redness on my skin as the facial is non-invasive.
Before doing the extraction, the esthetician applied a peeling mask for sensitive skin on my face and used hot steam to open up my pores. The entire process was gentle and didn’t feel painful or uncomfortable, unlike what I had expected.
After the facial, my skin was noticeably brighter and more radiant. My skin also felt bouncy, soft, and smooth to the touch. My skin has never looked this glowy after a facial treatment and this is the best facial that I’ve tried!
The entire process was enjoyable and pain-free, and it was the first time I didn’t leave a facial with a red face. I highly recommend OS Aesthetic 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial!
Skin type: Combination-oily, sensitive
OS Aesthetic’s entire 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial was professionally done and let me see instant results too.
The esthetician identified that I had sensitive skin and an uneven skin tone, which are skin concerns that I wasn’t aware of previously. She also explained how she would customise the treatment, and she did so in a very professional and friendly manner.
The extraction step wasn’t painful at all and was the most comfortable one I’ve experienced. Even though the extraction was done gently, it was done very well.
Every step was explained clearly and the facial massage was so soothing that I fell asleep midway.
After the treatment, my skin felt bouncy, hydrated, and not as oily as before. My face had a bright and radiant glow, and my skin felt smoother right after the session. I loved the results of the treatment.
Skin type: Oily
My skin felt smoother and refreshed after OS Aesthetics 5D Antioxidant Glow Facial. Even though I didn’t get the glow that I was expecting, I would like to go for sessions [to see more visible radiance].
For the consultation, the esthetician was thorough in analysing my skin and explained clearly what my skin concerns were. She identified that I had oily skin, which came as a surprise to me because I thought I had dry skin. She also gave me tips on how I should take care of my skin in the future.
Most of the facial steps felt cool on my skin and I really enjoyed it. The soft mask at the final step was my favourite because, even after the facial ended, I could still feel a cooling sensation on my skin.
The blackheads removal process was gentle and not painful at all. I also enjoyed the neck and shoulder massage because the esthetician used just the right amount of strength. My skin was smoother and free from blackheads and whiteheads after the facial.
