If you watch Channel 8 dramas, you’ll definitely know Paige Chua. The Singaporean actress made her debut in 2008, and is among the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes in Star Awards 2017.

The 36-year-old has recently been appointed the ambassador of the Lifting+Firming skincare line of Hada Labo, and she shares with Daily Vanity more beauty hacks and tips that she have been following to keep her skin in tip-top condition.

Daily Vanity (DV): How old were you when you first started using skincare products?
Paige Chua (Paige): I started going for facials when I was a teenager as my mother was very worried about my sensitive skin condition. The facial treatments helped to soothe my sensitive skin and it was also then when I was introduced to hydrating masks.

DV: Could you share with us what’s the first Hada Labo product you’ve ever used?
Paige: I am a fan of Korean Actress Jun Ji Hyun (Gianna Jun) and so I got to know Hada Labo products through her brand campaigns and started trying the products out. My first product was the eye cream from Hada Labo! I like how it is an effective product with a friendly price tag.

DV What’s your current skincare routine like?
Paige: My current skincare routine includes deep cleansing to remove my makeup, a light toner, and finishing off with a moisturising oil while working in a Gua Sha facial massage. I also go for facials once in a while when I have the time.

DV: What attributes are important to you in a beauty product?
Paige: To me, a good beauty product has to be gentle to sensitive skin so I’m always on the lookout for alcohol-free products in the market.

DV: Is there any beauty hack or secret that you swear by, that you think most people don’t do?
Paige: My beauty hack is my Gua Sha beauty routine! It’s like a facial massage that helps to tone and firm up my skin.

DV: You used to be on the national netball team. Are there any sports or routines that you engage in these days to keep yourself fit and healthy?
Paige: I have a range of hobbies such as practising yoga, archery, and playing tennis. I still play netball in a semi-competitive league yearly. It is very important to keep active!

DV: How has your experience as a national netball player helped with your career as an actress, or in your daily life?
Paige: Being a team player is important to me as an actress too, because the production crew works together closely like a sports team. You need to be respectful to the all staff members and actors who have different responsibilities on set.

DV: Complete this sentence, “Beauty is….”
Paige: …all around us
