“When it gets extra hot and humid, our pores naturally look larger and our skin gets greasier. SENKA Perfect Whip Vit-C Poreless Glow’s cheerful yellow tube boasts its newest hero ingredient, Japanese yuzu extract. With two times more vitamin C than lemons, the extract is supposed to effectively brighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation in as quickly as one wash.
When Jade put the cleanser to the test, she found that it really worked to ramp up the radiance on her dull skin. “The cleanser has a subtle citrusy fragrance that smelt pleasant, and my face looked a tad brighter after rinsing it off too,” she quipped.
Reduced pore size
Besides the star ingredient yuzu extract, the SENKA Perfect Whip Vit-C Poreless Glow is also infused with BHA, which gently sloughs away dead cells from the skin’s surface and degunks clogged pores. The promised result is smaller-looking pores and more radiant, refined skin.
Since shrinking pesky pores is a difficult task, Jade was surprised to find that the size of her pores really was reduced by the end of the review period.
“After using the cleanser for two weeks, my large pores appeared smaller and more refined, while my skin looked more radiant and even-toned,” noted Jade.

Deeply cleanses while hydrating
Trust us when we say that you won’t find a SENKA Perfect Whip cleanser without the brand’s signature dense microfoam! The foam’s microbubbles are designed to deeply penetrate the pores and lift away seven layers of impurities, including fine dust, excess sebum, dead skin, sweat, and blackheads.
With white cocoon essence and double hyaluronic acid, the cleanser is also supposed to be non-stripping; it hydrates even as it thoroughly cleanses the skin.
“While constantly adding water and lathering the cleanser in my palms was indeed more time-consuming, it helped produce a huge amount of dense foam that makes the cleansing experience very indulgent,” recalled Jade.
“I lathered up the cleanser with water between my palms, and it produced a fluffy foam fast and covered my entire face and neck sufficiently,” she continued. “The foam felt oh-so-soft and smooth on the skin and my face felt soft and hydrated after rinsing it off too.”
SENKA recommends that users first create a dense lather in their hands before applying the cleanser to their skin.

How? Squeeze 2cm-worth of cleanser onto your palm and add a teaspoon of water. Cup your palm and use your other hand to rub, with your fingertips flat against your hand; this should help to stir air bubbles into the cleanser.

Over the week, I used the cleanser every morning and night by first wetting my hand and then squeezing a 10-cent amount onto my palm. I rubbed to make a rich foam before massaging it onto my face – I liked the fact that it gave off a rich dense foam in just a few seconds. The cleanser smelt so good and didn’t make my skin feel tight at all.

When I first squeezed the cleanser out of the tube, the texture was creamy and thick like a normal cleanser, but when I started to add water, I was surprised at how quickly and easily it turned into foam.
