Summary

True to the product’s claims, most of the reviewers agree that it had a light texture that was easily absorbed by skin, and came with a light, almost undetectable fragrance – a sign that this is indeed a clean beauty product good for sensitive skin.

Many reviewers reported seeing healthier skin after one week of regular usage, regardless of their skin type. Those with oilier skin commonly saw that there was less excess sebum, while drier skin also benefited from multiple benefits like the fading of blemishes and glowing of skin.

Those who were suffering from acne also found that the Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing Serum was capable of clearing their zits.

Some had reported from minor breakouts and irritation, but they acknowledge that this could be caused by a number of other skincare products that they were using during the trial period. One has also clarified that her skin could have been still adjusting to the new product. Based on their good first impressions of the serum, some are even still using the serum in order to see if the acne will clear up!

Personally, I prefer to use clean beauty products as I believe that certain chemicals can cause breakouts and skin irritation, whereas natural skincare products are much gentler on my sensitive skin.

This was my first time trying a Niacinamide product, and my first impressions of it were already very good. The Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing serum was very lightweight and my skin would easily soak it up without feeling oily at all. It was also very easy to use and incorporate into my current routine.

In addition, I really liked the texture and light barley scent of this serum, which is much better than other skincare products that tend to have strong fragrances.

After using this product regularly in the day and night for one week, I saw noticeable results in my skin. I have oily skin with small rash-like pimples across my chin, and this serum from The Effect Series has really helped in controlling these breakouts. Now, my skin feels much healthier and looks brighter, and this has made me more confident in going out bare-faced!

I also love that the price of this serum is so affordable for its benefits, so I would definitely use this again and recommend this to others!

Skin concerns
Textured skin e.g small bumps, visible/enlarged pores, pigmentation/dark spots/freckles

When it comes to using new skincare products, I feel safer using those from clean beauty brands because I am worried that my skin, which can be sensitive sometimes, will suffer from irritations or breakouts.

In order to help my skin get used to the new product, I would mix the Niacinamide 10% serum with my moisturiser first. Subsequently, I used it on its own before applying my moisturiser. This worked for me because of the light texture of the serum that wasn’t oily at all, so my skin will soak it up comfortably.

I saw results after one week of using the serum, especially in terms of my major skin concerns: less oily skin, smoother skin texture, and more even skin tone. I have even received compliments on my skin, and am now more confident to go out without makeup!

Overall, I think that this serum from The Effect Series is a simple yet effective product which anyone can incorporate into their skincare routine as it doesn’t cause any skin reactions. The minimalistic packaging also makes me feel that the product is doing what it claims without incorporating anything too ‘fancy’ for sensitive skin.

Even though the volume is a little small, I think this serum is worth the money as you don’t need too much per application. It does what it claims, has a convenient packaging, and doesn’t have a strong fragrance – perfect if you’re just looking for a minimalistic skincare product that fulfils its claims without you fearing that it might break you out.

Textured skin e.g small bumps, visible/enlarged pores, acne

I am a strong supporter of clean beauty brands, mostly for the lack of fragrance and harmful additives. I personally do not like the perfumes used in skincare as it mostly makes me dizzy, and I understand that parabens, sulfates, and triclosan can be absorbed by the skin and enter my bloodstream – not quite the kind of effect I want!

I used the serum on my face in the morning and at night before moisturiser and after toner, making sure to target my cheek and nose areas which have enlarged pores and bumps – this has worked well for me as I saw that my pores looked smaller after one week.

In addition, The Effect Series Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing Serum helped to clear up my acne on my face, hence I have even started putting some on the blemishes caused by acne on my back and decolletage to see if it can help!

Considering that this has helped reduce my acne breakouts and even gave me clearer, brighter skin just after one week, I would highly recommend this to anyone else who suffers from acne as well.

What I really liked about the Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing Serum is that it feels light on my skin and is absorbed fast, without feeling too oily, so I can go on to apply moisturiser right after this serum – very convenient!

While I did not experience any allergic reactions from using this, I also did not manage to see very significant results because it takes much longer than one week for pores to become less visible, no matter which skincare product you are using.

Overall, I still have a good impression of this product as the lack of fragrance and colour is really befitting of a clean beauty product, which means this is definitely less harsh on my skin and the environment.

I was excited to try out this Niacinamide serum because I had used this ingredient before and found that my skin condition improved a lot after that. Considering that I have a hormonal imbalance, a lot of products that are not safe or clean could cause my skin to break out, but that did not happen with Niacinamide at all.

The lightweight feeling and non-greasy texture of the Niacinamide 10% Serum was already quite impressive for me, but what made it even better was the results after just one week. Not only did it not break me out, but my acne also cleared up and my skin became less oily!

I rarely discover a product that my face loves, but this serum is a sure favourite with my skin. The improvements were even noticed by my friend, and I am really happy that there is such an amazing product available in the market.

Skin concerns
Visible/enlarged pores, wrinkles and fine lines

It was easy to include The Effect Series Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing Serum in my existing skincare routine, where I would use it after my essence and before my moisturiser.

I saw results after one week of using the serum: my pores looked smaller and my skin tone brighter and more even. I also loved the light scent of the serum and the hygienic dripper application.

Personally, I found that it left a bit of a sticky feeling on my skin. There was also some irritation and redness when I used this both day and night, so I switched to just using it at night instead. I did note, however, that I was also using some other products during the trial period, which could have affected my skin condition at that time.

Based on my experience with this Niacinamide serum from The Effect Series, I would still recommend this to people who are looking to brighten their skin and make their pores less visible, although you may want to be a little careful about which other skincare products you are using this with.

A friend of mine had previously shared with me that parabens found in skincare products can be harmful to us, and I believe that clean beauty brands are healthier as well, which is why I would opt to use clean beauty products like the ones from The Effect Series.

I tried the Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing Serum over one week and found that it has not much smell to it and is absorbed quickly by the skin without leaving behind any greasy feeling.

However, I noticed a few breakouts around my cheek and chin, but these could be attributed to some other skincare products that I was using at the time.

I’m on the fence about this product but will continue to give it a shot again after I have fully recovered from my breakout to see if this will work better for me.

Skin concerns
Dehydration, visible/enlarged pores, wrinkles and fine lines

I am afraid of certain chemicals damaging and ageing my skin prematurely, so I usually opt to use clean beauty products as much as possible, such as The Effect Series Niacinamide 10% Serum.

I noticed that the serum was fragrance-free, had a very light texture, and was absorbed very well into the skin. The weightless texture was very comfortable when applied on the skin and did not feel greasy. It was also very easy to incorporate the serum into my current skincare routine, where I would use this in place of my usual serum and then follow up with a moisturiser.

After one week of application, I saw that my skin became noticeably brighter, with a subtle glow in my skin and fading of old spots. It also felt like the serum had created a protective film over my skin over time, which is why my skin does feel healthier now as well.

That being said, I also found that I had two more blemishes during the trial period, but I went to research online and found out that it was normal for skin that is trying to get used to a new product. I really believe in this product based on what I’ve experienced so far, hence I am going to continue using this serum and see how it works for my skin in the long run!

Everyone’s skin is different – some of us, like myself, may need time to adjust to the product. Catch me a month later, and I’ll be happy to report the results again!

I had a very good first impression of The Effect Series Niacinamide 10% Blemish Minimizing Serum. The texture was very light and didn’t feel oily at all, so I could easily apply it on my skin and have it absorbed quickly.

It was easy to incorporate the serum into my night routine. After using it for five days, I have seen the effects on my skin already. My enlarged pores looked visibly smaller, and my skin also looked smoother as well.

Dehydration, visible/enlarged pores, wrinkles and fine lines, laugh lines, pigmentation/dark spots/freckles, acne, rosacea, textured skin e.g. small bumps

The texture of this serum from The Effect Series was very watery and light, so it was easily absorbed by my skin. I could apply makeup afterwards and not have it become cakey, which was quite impressive.

I would apply this right before my moisturiser every day and night, and with consistent usage, I saw that the redness on my head was reduced. Other results that I managed to see after one week include less oily skin, smaller pores, brighter skin tone, and even an improvement in my wrinkles & fine lines!

I am satisfied with the results I have seen and am happy to have received compliments on my skin as well. Hence, I will continue to use this Niacinamide 10% serum and recommend this to anyone who is also suffering from rosacea, like myself.
