Watsons is no stranger to the beauty enthusiast. The leading beauty and health retailer has more than 100 stores in Singapore and stock many of our favourite brands.
Watsons Singapore announces its new initiative – for SG by SG – that has launched in mid-August, to empower local small businesses while supporting the local health and beauty community.
The “for SG by SG” initiative leverages on the digital infrastructure of Watsons Online, the e-commerce site owned by the retailer, to increase the invisibility of participating brands. These brands will also be able to gain physical store presence through organised pop-ups at Watsons Ngee Ann City store.
Rooki Beauty is one of the local beauty brands that will now be available at Watsons Online.
Irene Lau, Managing Director of Watsons Singapore says that the initiative is the retailer’s way of doing their part to support the small local health & beauty businesses during this “stressful time”.
“We hope the ‘for SG by SG’ initiative will enable these small business owners to use us to amplify for them, to achieve more reach and exposure. This is especially important as more and more of these local businesses offer formulations that are best suited to our climate or the use of sustainable ingredients in the quest for cleaner beauty,” she adds.
The curated list brands under the “for SG by SG” initiative include Botanica Culture, ROOKI, Sixth Senses Aromatics, Souffle Beauty, and SVA, just to name a few. The product ranges include everything from organic toothpaste to henna dyes.
