Sephora Beauty Pass Sale Tips

We had initially thought that the Circuit Breaker was going to put a stop to the highly anticipated Sephora Beauty Pass Sale since retail stores have to be closed at least until June. But guess what – Sephora didn’t disappoint and is bringing us the exciting sale online this year!

The upcoming Beauty Pass Sale will entitle customers to 20% site-wide and Gold card members get first dibs in a private sale on 5 May. Black card members can join the sale from 6 May. Don’t worry if you only have White card status, because you can also join the sale from 6 to 7 May, and enjoy 15% off all purchases.

We know that your head is buzzing right now and you’re wondering how you can make the best out of this retail therapy that you absolutely deserve. Here are Daily Vanity‘s top tips and recommendations that you should arm yourself with before you enter the sale arena at Sephora.sg.

Tip 1: Start early

Sephora Beauty Pass Sale Wish List

Popular items will may be out of stock faster than others so it helps to plan your shopping earlier. Instead of browsing only during the sale day, start browsing today so you can take your time to decide the colour you prefer, the size you want, to compare between items, and even search for reviews before deciding.

In other words, once you’re done with this article, head over to Sephora.sg already!

Once you’ve made your decision, add them to cart (or click on the Wishlist button) first, and then once the sale officially starts, you can simply cart out and pay. Easy-breezy!

Tip 2: Search for reviews and images

Because the retail experience is taken fully online this time, you won’t be able to try out the products in person. To make sure that you have a good idea what you’re getting, look for reviews or images of the item that you have your eye on so you can make a better decision.

Sephora.sg also has reviews left by people who have purchased the product before you so they can be a good way of figuring out whether a product is suitable for you. If you’re deciding between a few products, you can sort the products based on their ratings. The more highly rated ones will be sorted to the top so you can quickly find out which are more raved about by customers!

Tip 3: Grab the special boxes

This year, Sephora will be launching specially curated collection of limited-edition value boxes, called the “Beauty Bestie Boxes”, featuring some of our favourite brands.

We don’t know what are in these online-exclusive boxes yet, but we’ve heard that they’re going to be pretty amazing. These online-exclusive Beauty Bestie Boxes are going to be sold only during this Beauty Pass Sale (from 5 to 7 May), while stocks last – so we say you should keep your eyes out for them!

Tip 4: Tag along a Gold card member

If you aren’t already a Gold card member, this is the time to find out who in your inner circle is and ask if he/she can help you make your purchases. Since Gold card members get to access the sale a day earlier than everyone else, they get to have first dibs and be able to snag the best deals available.

You probably can only be able to retrieve your purchases from her/him after the Circuit Breaker, so only do this if you desperately want to make sure you can get a coveted item and don’t mind receiving it later.

Tip 5: Use Pop Station to save on shipping

Shipping is free with a minimum purchase (SGD40 for standard shipping and SGD110 for express shipping). If you’re only intending to get a few items and won’t be hitting the minimum amount, opt for Pop Station collection, which is free regardless of minimum spend.

What’s great about it is that they’re available at most neighbourhoods so you’d be able to collect your item during your grocery runs. The delivery time is also estimated to be faster than standard shipping (2-3 business days vs. 3-5 business days).

What products should you go for?

1. Replenish the items you always use

That holy grail foundation that you can’t live without (and you know exactly which shade you are), that moisturiser that has saved your skin, and that hairstyling product that gives you good hair day, every day – these are the ones that go right in your cart.

You know that you’ll always need them, so you might as well get them at a discounted price.

2. The items that you’ve been lusting after

Those items that you’ve always had your eye on but never purchased because you’re a little conscious of the price tag – they are now made more affordable so it’s time to give in to that temptation.

We’re pretty sure you’re going to put that burning itch to rest and sleep better after you’ve hit that “check out” button.

3. The ones that offer great value for money

If you don’t have specific items to buy and are just browsing around, hoping to enjoy a good bargain, then go for gift sets, palettes, and Sephora Collection items. Here’s why:

Gift sets usually bundle popular full-sized items with travel-sized items at a great value and pretty packages you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Couple the attractive price with an amazing discount, you’ll indeed be getting lots of value from your purchase. You can browse gift sets at Sephora here.

Single lipsticks or eyeshadow pans are great for those who know exactly what they need for the looks they’d like to achieve. But if you don’t have an idea and are still experimenting, then palettes are a good way for you to play around with different products and shades. You can browse palettes at Sephora here.

Sephora’s in-house brand, Sephora Collection, offers tons of great quality products at attractive prices. They provide everything from skincare and makeup to body and hair care.

Sephora Collection has also released a line of clean beauty products to care for your skin in the most mindful way possible. You can browse Sephora Collection products here.
