Soak your eye makeup before wiping

Fans of Sorn would know that her lashes take the spotlight in her makeup looks and people have described her as a “lash and liner sort of girl”, so it’s no wonder that she’s a bit of an expert when it comes to thoroughly removing her eye makeup at night.
In her “Night Time Skin Routine” video on her YouTube channel, Sorn reveals that she dispenses Pond’s Clear Face Spa Lip & Eye Make-up Remover onto two cotton pads to cleanse her eye makeup.
Instead of wiping her eyelids immediately, she leaves them over her eyes for about 20 seconds before sweeping them gently across her skin. She also flips the cotton pads over and repeats the process.
Soaking your eye makeup is a gentle way of cleansing your makeup, as you allow time for the makeup to soften and dissolve. So, the next time you remove your eye makeup, take it from Sorn: soak first, then wipe!

Use toner as an extra cleansing step

“Sometimes you don’t actually know if you’re cleaning your face properly. Using a toner after that kind of helps to make sure you’re removing every single thing,” she emphasised in the “Night Time Skin Routine” video.
It’s true that toner can help to remove stubborn traces of makeup, dirt, and bacteria left on the skin, according to board-certified dermatologist Debra Jaliman.
Sorn uses the Celimax Ji.Woo.Gae Heartleaf BHA Peeling Pad, which was recommended to her by her makeup artist. She sweeps the rougher side of the pad over the “fold lines” of her face, like around her nose, to help unclog her pores.

Looking for ideas to bid redness and irritation goodbye? Pop a pack of toner pads in the fridge and leave the pads on your cheeks for a mini facial spa!

“In Korea, there’s a saying […] one day, one mask pack,” Sorn underlines.
“The reason why they (Koreans) have like a porcelain, glass skin is because they use one face mask every day before they go to sleep,” she shared. Other Korean celebrities like BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Minnie from (G)I-DLE have also talked about using sheet masks every day.
Sorn puts her masks in the fridge, so they feel extra good on her skin when she slaps them on at the end of the day.

Sorn’s makeup tips
Tap at your skin when applying cushion foundation

The tricky part about cushion foundations is that a lot of us tend to apply them wrongly. Sorn deftly dabs at her face using the cushion, never sweeping at her skin.
“Normally, I spend the most time on my skin,” the pop star shared as she tapped firmly and repeatedly at her skin using her cushion. “The most important thing when it comes to doing makeup is to, you know, do your skin properly.”
Even though makeup holy grails tend to change as we grow, it’s worth peeking at Sorn’s most recent favourites for her base makeup, which she shared in her 2022 “Girls Night Out Makeup Tutorial” video on YouTube.
“I love cushions that are light and also give you a full coverage,” she shared. Her cushion of choice? The Naming Layered Fit Cushion. It did not require a lot of product to fully cover her skin, unlike some other cushions that become thick and cakey on her face.

Eyeliner has got to be the most challenging step in a makeup routine, but Sorn’s tip for you is simply this: just try. “The tip is to open your eyes, look at yourself in the mirror, and just draw it up.”
“It’s actually easy to use a gel liner if you use it every single day,” Sorn explained. “For me to accomplish the iconic gel liner that I draw every day, it took me quite a while too.”
Not everyone looks good in a sharp winged eyeliner, it really depends on the shape of your eyes. Sorn draws her iconic winged liner in order to balance out her “droopy, sleepy” eyes. It’s best to understand how your eyeliner can complement your specific eye shape too!

Use a fixer to keep your lashes lifted all-day

Sorn’s lashes never fail to look freshly curled and lifted, but there’s no need to be envious because she’s revealed her secret: clear mascara!
The right clear mascara formulas can work magic to fix a lash curl in place all day long, and Sorn’s potion of choice is the Naming Touch-up Lash Maker.
