If you’ve been looking for an alternative to harsh pore strips, here are five simple steps to follow to remove blackheads effectively.

Removing blackheads with baby oil: Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Start by rinsing your face with lukewarm water to help open up the pores around your nose area.

Step 2: Apply a 50-cent coin size of baby oil all over your nose and rub it in a circular motion. Once you see that your skin is starting to absorb the product, add on a little bit more baby oil and slowly massage the product into your skin.

After massaging for a couple of minutes, you will start to see stubborn blackheads and whiteheads loosening from your pores.

Step 3: Once a fair amount of whiteheads and blackheads start appearing, use a pimple popping tool or dental floss to gently scrape them all out.

Step 4: To remove the remaining oil and residue left on your nose, simply grab a makeup remover to wipe it off and cleanse the area with a facial cleanser after.

Step 5: You started the routine by opening up your pores and you’ll want to end it by closing them. To do so, wipe the skin dry after cleansing and use a cold compress to calm the skin down before applying a layer of moisturiser to soothe the skin. Alternatively, you can also use a sheet mask.
