If you’re a curious beauty junkie and globetrotter, you’d probably be dying to check out what homegrown products each country has in store. Notable for their breathtaking landscapes and luxurious traditional spas, Indonesia is also home to an incredible line-up of local cosmetics and skin care brands. Not sure where to start? Here are some Indonesian beauty bargains worth purchasing on your next trip!

1. Purbasari Colour Matte Lipsticks

These matte lipsticks from Purbasari promise great pigmentation and longevity without drying out your lips. Boasting 15 shades in total and costing no more than SGD4 each, these lippies are a sure steal! We recommend picking up Diamond, Pirus and Crystal (shades 81, 83 & 90 respectively), which are perfect nude to mauve shades that look flattering on a variety of skin tones.

2. LT-Pro Powder Blush

The pigmentation of this powder blush palette from LT-Pro (La Tulipe Professional) should not be underestimated. Indonesian beauty gurus have claimed its quality is comparable to ELF blushes. Each palette comes with seven matte and one shimmer shade, retailing for about IDR275,000 (about SGD28). If you’re looking for contour and highlight palettes, LT-Pro also has its own Shade and Tint Kit!

3. LT-Pro Eyeshadow Palettes

If you’re looking for quality drugstore eyeshadow palettes, LT-Pro is highly recommended too. Similar to its blush palettes, its eyeshadow palettes have been approved by local beauty enthusiasts for their amazing colour pay-off. Priced at about SGD20-22, their Perfecting Eye Colour palettes come in two types – shimmer and matte, containing 10 eyeshadows each.

Also worth splurging on are their Naturally Glam Eye Shadow Palette for gold and brown shades, and the Pro Eye Colour Collection quads, which come in three types.

4.Wardah C-defense DD Cream

Wardah is no stranger to many beauty consumers in Asia. Their C-defense range (made up of a DD cream, serum and face mist) are not only affordable, but also made to give your skin its daily dose of Vitamin C. The DD cream (about SGD3-4) – a combination BB and CC cream – acts as a sunscreen which conceals, brightens and moisturises your skin. This Vitamin C, B and E-infused cream also comes in the shades Natural and Light. Pair it up with the C-defense serum and face mist to keep your skin protected from UV damage.

5. Make Over Camouflage Cream Concealer

This may look like Make Up For Ever upon first glance, but it’s not! However, this concealer palette from Make Over could very well be a dupe! Retailing at about IDR105,000 (approximately SGD11), it’s worth picking up if your makeup routine involves colour correcting. These creamy, pigmented concealers are also infused with Vitamin E, which nourishes your skin. But it’s recommended to set it with powder so it won’t crease!

You can’t get these in stores, but the BLP Lip Coats are so reminiscent of Dose of Colors’ Matte Lipstick, we just had to include them! Founded by local beauty blogger Lizzie Parra, these Lip Coats were given their name because they promise to keep your lips matte but moisturised. They currently have nine wearable shades in total, priced at IDR129,000 (SGD13-14) on sociolla. Keep your eyes peeled because these lippies are usually sold out in a blink!
