1. Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant
This is an exfoliant like you’ve never seen before. Dermalogica has not only sourced out resurfacing ingredients, but also particles that actually prevent pollutants from sticking to your skin.
It contains Activated Binchotan Charcoal Powder from Ubame Oak, which attracts impurities to itself as it goes over your pores, Orysa Sativa (Rice Bran) Extract, which is activated by water to have dual-action chemical and physical exfoliation.
Other ingredients such as enzymes, malic acid and lactic acid provide the chemical counterpart for exfoliation, and it even contains niacinamide for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant retails for SGD 114 at authorised Dermalogica skin treatment centers.
2. Atopalm Real Barrier Aqua Relief Gel Cream
The Real Barrier range of products from Atopalm emphasises strongly on the recovery of weakened skin barriers. Using Multi Lamellar Emulsion (MLE®), Atopalm’s Real Barrier technology helps to recuperate dry and sensitive skin.
Multi Lamellar Emulsion (MLE®) may sound intimidating but it’s really a mixture of Ceramide 9STM & Ceramide 5SPTM that prevents moisture loss from the skin barrier.
It works together with the 3-Calming Complex of Panthenol, Madecassoside, and Allantoin to calm and soothe irritated skin.
The Aqua Relief Gel Cream has all of the above in a gel cream enriched with water which maximises absorption, prevent dryness or doesn’t form a greasy layer on the skin surface.
Atopalm Real Barrier Aqua Relief Gel Cream retails for SGD 34 (50 ml) in Watsons.
3. Lancome Advanced Génifique Sensitive
Lancome’s Advanced Génifique range has received widespread popularity and acclaim over the years. They’ve stepped up their game with this latest addition to the range: the Advanced Génifique Sensitive.
The Advanced Génifique Sensitive is a dual-concentrate that combines youth activating power and sensitivity soothing properties. It is meant to be a one-month treatment for those periods of life where your skin is particularly bad.
It’s so potent that you have to mix it yourself! Every new package will contain an extinguisher ampoule that releases 98% pure antioxidants into the base serum when you press the cap clockwise. Shake the bottle until the two concentrates are equally mixed before using.
Lancome Advanced Génifique Sensitive retails for SGD 120 at all Lancome counters.
4. RESS by Restoration Essence
Sara Soong began her journey of experimentation and discovery in 2014, and was on a mission to find skincare that was natural, but also actually good for her skin. She soon founded Restoration Essence.
The Pandan Leaves Scrub is made from naturally dried pure pandan leaves, infused with pandan essential oil and lemon essence for zest and whitening.
The shelf life of this jar is only six months, precisely because of Sara’s commitment to not including preservatives in her formulations.
All pandan and blended essential oils in her products are hand-grown and picked from a Malaysian herbalist personally sourced by Sara. Most products in their range are completely additive and preservative-free.
RESS Pandan Leaves Scrub retails for SGD 40.90 on the Restoration Essence website.
5. Clarins Double Serum 8th Generation Edition
Clarins takes bio-inspiration very seriously. The heart of the concept behind the Double Serum is in its dual phases, both hydric and lipidic phases, that are based on the skin’s oil and water balance.
The Double Serum also comes in a unique bottle that features a double pump system: the oil-based phase is housed within the hydric phase, and the two only mix together when the bottle is pumped, releasing exactly 2/3 water-based and 1/3 oil-based phases.
Even the push buttom system is now new and improved. You can choose between two settings: #1 for normal to dry skin in cold climates, and #2 for normal to oily or combination skin in hot climates.
This will adjust the amount of product that is released by the pump, so you don’t have to worry about ever pumping too much or too little.
Clarins Double Serum 8th Generation Edition retails for SGD 125 (30ml) and SGD 170 (50ml) at all authorised Clarins counters, boutiques and from the Clarins website.
6. Murad City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer
You know moisturisers are important for hydrating your skin – but have you heard of one that also does double time by helping your skin detoxify all the pollutants it has accumulated over the day?
Now you have. Murad has launched the City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturiser, a breakthrough formula that features super-charged antioxidants from Marrubium Plant Stem-Cell and a herbal blend of extracts from Sunflower, Cucumber and Barley to enhance your skin’s natural moisture barrier.
It even contains a concentrated form of Vitamin C for its antioxidant, as well as its anti-ageing properties. It can also help to brighten and whiten your skin, evening out your skin tone and correcting sun damage.
Best part? This moisturiser is meant to be a night formula, so all the good repairs happen throughout the night, enabling you to truly maximise your beauty sleep.
Murad City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer retails for SGD 146 (50ml) at all Murad counters.
7. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix
Derived from the cult classic Advanced Night Repair, Estee Lauder has newly launched an Eye Concentrate Matrix in the same range to help reverse signs of ageing around the eye area.
The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix is so called because it utilises a brand new 360° Matrix Technology™ to provide a cushioning support for the delicate under-eye area against effects of micro-movements.
It, of course, also contains the exclusive ChronoluxCB™ Technology that is the key to the success of the original Advanced Night Repair, and which works in the Eye Concentrate Matrix to significantly reduce appearances of lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles.
Apply using a special, custom-designed 360° massage applicator, so that your under-eye area will look and feel years younger, plumper and more hydrated for up to 24 hours.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix retails for SGD 113 (15ml) at all Estee Lauder boutiques, counters and in Sephora.
8. Neutrogena Fine Fairness Light Mask
This mask may look like something out of a Daft Punk video, but it’s much more beneficial for your skin than you might expect.
Deriving their inspiration from LED technology used by NASA scientists, Neutrogena has adapted the technology that harnesses red and infrared light to improve wound healing on the face.
“Unlike hand-held LED wands which require users to painstakingly treat one small section of skin at a time, the mask delivers not one, but two kinds of light that work simultaneously on the whole face,” says Naomi Furgiuele, Senior Director of Research and Development at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc.
After removing your makeup and cleansing, dry your face and put on the mask like you would with a pair of glasses. Turn it on via the accompanying Activator, then relax for 10 minutes as the skin is bathed in healing red and infrared light. After 10 minutes, the Mask switches off automatically.
