Most fans of luxury fashion and beauty would have heard of 46-year-old local socialite Jamie Chua, who’s known for her expensive taste spanning from handbags, home decor, and skincare.
Chua owns one of the largest Hermès Birkin collections in the world, so it’s probably little wonder that the socialite-and-online-influencer would spare no expenses when it comes to maintaining a youthful complexion.
Curious to see which products she uses daily or when she needs a little more TLC? Chua gave us the lowdown to her beauty routine in her latest YouTube video. We watched it, took notes, and rounded up a list of her holy grail luxury skincare and tools below, which add up to almost S$3,000!
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum
To prep her skin for the day, Jamie uses the C-Firma Day Serum from the trendy skincare brand/ This helps to firm and brighten up the skin with a potent dose of vitamin C and E, as well as reduce skin stress from the environment with various enzymes.
Retails for S$114 on Sephora.
Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Hydrating Mask
On days where she feels her skin is lacklustre and could use a little boost, she uses this newest masque from Drunk Elephant mixed with their Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil (S$102) on top of the C-Firma Day Serum to deeply hydrate and nourish her skin, as well as to lock in the moisture for longer periods of time.
Retails for S$74 on Sephora.
A big fan of the Gua Sha trend (learn how to give yourself a gua sha massage here!), the luxury aficionado swears by two of her ReFa rollers to get the effects of a much-needed facial at home. She uses the slim Caxa Ray Massager (S$350) on the jawline to depuff and get that defined, contour look without makeup, and the larger Carat Ray Face (S$330) on the décolletage area to relieve muscle tension. Equipped with a solar panel, there’s no need to charge these costly devices for them to produce the microcurrents that tighten loose skin and renew skin cells!
YSL Pure Shots
YSL Beaute’s new Pure Shots serums are designed for any busy modern woman, correcting all signs of skin concerns with each of the four, Light Up, Lines Away, Y Shape, and Night Reboot. Although Jamie owns all four, she recommends the illuminating Light Up serum to brighten up dull and uneven skin for a youthful and fresh complexion.
Available at TANGS for S$139 each, and S$119 for the refills.
Dior Prestige Le Micro-caviar De Rose
Most of us will be careful about using any expensive skincare more sparingly, and the socialite is no exception when it comes her most luxurious one: Dior Prestige Le Micro-caviar De Rose, priced at a whopping S$550! Made with a plethora of precious ingredients, including 22 micronutrients from the Rose de Granville, and moisturising Shea Butter, the exquisite formula comes in the form of caviar-like pearls that melt under the heat of your skin for optimal performance. This is Chua’s favourite night treatment that she can’t live without.
Retails for S$550 at all Dior counters when they reopen on 19 June or through the brand’s concierge service.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue Cream and Magic Night Cream
Appearing to be a big fan of the popular beauty brand, Jamie has many versions of their Magic Creams, in addition to her collection of Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipsticks. She highlighted the Magic Eye Rescue Cream (S$100) and Magic Night Cream (S$210) in her video, both are known for their nourishing formulas that hydrate and help with anti-ageing.
Lancôme Absolue Soft Cream
Another moisturiser in rotation in Jamie’s skincare routine is Lancôme’s Soft Cream, which is formulated with rose to nourish and regenerate skin cells for a youthful look. She also shares how the TtT (thick, thin, thick) texture of the product makes it a luxury to use. (Editor’s note: This cream transforms its texture as you apply it. It starts off with a thick texture to nourish your skin, and then in thins out as the actives penetrates into your skin, and becomes thick again to re-plump the skin.)
Retails for S$450, available on the Lancôme website or at its counters when they reopen on 19 June.
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
Although not featured by Chua in the video, we spotted the iconic lavender bottle of the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist nestled among behind her jar of La Mer cream and serums. The fine mist is made with precious oils and humectants to hydrate the skin for a dewy, cake-free finish, and the combination of three Japanese superfoods gives the skin a younger appearance.
Retails for S$72 on Sephora. (You can purchase a 13ml bottle for S$31 if you’d like to give it a trial first before committing to a full bottle.)
