So, she uses this grapefruit diet as a quick and easy way to lose weight, going from 51.5kg to 48.5kg in six days. She shares that while it was difficult to maintain at the start, her body didn’t react adversely to the diet.

For her, it’s the most effective way to rapidly lose weight, since she doesn’t enjoy exercising as much.

And, of course, grapefruit plays a large part in her diet! She includes grapefruit with every meal to add nutrients such as vitamins A and C.

Plus, grapefruits contain high amounts of water and fibre to help you feel full, which can help to reduce your calorie intake.

Joe Chen’s photos of her grapefruit diet meals mainly reveal ingredients like hardboiled eggs, broccoli, and bacon, and they occasionally include clams and scrambled eggs.

As mentioned earlier, this diet isn’t very healthy in the long run, since you’re reducing your intake of important nutrients.

Joe Chen is aware that the diet may not be feasible for everyone, and shares with her fans that she doesn’t believe in continuously sticking to this diet.

In fact, she usually maintains the diet for about a week before taking a break and indulging in more enjoyable meals!

Plus, she makes sure to continue eating three regular meals daily, to keep herself healthy even while on her weight loss journey.

She also mentions that for her, losing weight is relatively easy as long as she controls her diet, but this method may not work for everyone.
