In 2021, the brand quietly took a hiatus in the midst of the Covid chaos to re-strategise their plans. They wanted to find the ultimate solution to meet the growing demands of their global consumers.

Given their success in the fragrance realm while working with beauty conglomerate Coty, Marc Jacobs Beauty decided to enter a strategic partnership with Coty. This was almost a no-brainer as Coty has even secured Marc Jacobs Fragrance a spot among the top 10 global female fragrances with the iconic Daisy Marc Jacobs.

Previously, Marc Jacobs Beauty has a licensing agreement with Kendo Brands, which currently has brands like Fenty Beauty, KVD Beauty, and OLEHENRIKSEN in its portfolio.

Marc Jacobs Beauty comeback

Since the very beginning, Marc Jacobs Beauty had always created products that stayed true to the brand’s chic and sophisticated identity, such as the classic Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon and the fan-favourite Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palettes.

Now, with Coty at the helm, we can expect Marc Jacobs Beauty to reach new heights with a bolder take on an expanded array of colour makeup, sensorial formulas, and technicolour pigments.

There’s still no word on when the renewed line will be ready for the market, though market insiders are estimating it to happen in about two years’ time – which means, we might be able to get our hands on Marc Jacobs Beauty products again by 2025!

Fans, like us, are also hoping that Marc Jacobs Beauty 2.0 will bring back their most iconic products so that we can finally throw that pathetic last tip of the Highliner Gel Eye Crayon we’ve been saving away!
