There are complexion products that everyone knows about: Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation, Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, and Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion – just to name a few.

The above-mentioned products may have already reached holy grail statuses, but it doesn’t mean these brands are going to rest on their laurels. We are pleasantly surprised that the new complexion products that are launched recently – or are about to launch – all come from brands that already have an established reputation in base makeup. Grab a seat – or should we say, your makeup brushes!

Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Foundation

Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Foundation 2018

We are already big fans of Sulwhasoo’s collection of cushions and were really excited to hear that they’ve launched a new foundation. The new Sheer Lasting Foundation promises to offer you a fresh-looking, radiant finish, while adding no sense of weight to skin. In other words, this is what you need if you wish to re-create the dewy complexion of your favourite K-drama idols, but with beautiful coverage that only liquid foundations can deliver.

Enriched with skin-loving ingredients like the sea buckthorn berries, the foundation also acts as a protector to your skin by shielding it from environmental aggressors.

The Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Foundation is available at six shades. It retails at SGD76 and is available at all Sulwhasoo boutiques and counters. Read reviews of the Sulwhasoo Sheer Lasting Foundation here.

Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Powder Foundation

Kvd Lock It Powder Single

You’re likely familiar with the Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Foundation, one of the brand’s best-sellers. The brand has just launched the Lock-It Powder Foundation: a fast, full-coverage powder foundation that delivers instant blurring effects with extreme long-wear.

Instead of the cakey finish that many powder foundations are associated with, this has a velvety-soft finish and visually eliminates the look of pores. It is formulated with rice powder and kaolin (a clay mineral) to deliver a flawless-looking, matte, and diffused finish without looking dry or patchy.

Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Powder Foundation offers 26 shades, retails at SGD53, and is available at Sephora.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer

Fenty Beauty Concealer

When Fenty Beauty first launched its Pro Filt’r Foundation, it created a buzz in the beauty world. Besides launching an unprecedented range of 50 shades, it also has a beautiful finish, well-loved by many. But Fenty Beauty isn’t just stopping at foundation; the brand has just launched a collection of concealers – the Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer – which are made to complement (not match) its corresponding Pro Filt’r Foundation number.

Here’s a tip: Choose the same concealer number as your foundation’s to conceal the under eye area, or go up a shade or two to find one that matches your skin tone to cover blemishes and hyperpigmentation.

Founder of Fenty Beauty, Rihanna described the Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer as “the cure for bags, dark circles, hangovers, and bad decisions”. It has a creamy, long-wear, crease-proof liquid formula with a soft matte finish.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer retails at SGD38 and is available at Sephora.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation Group

Mention Hourglass and you’ll immediately think of its amazing primer – the Veil Mineral Primer. So it’s definitely making a big statement when it launched a liquid foundation that claims that it doesn’t require any primer.

The new Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation is also highly concentrated, designed to deliver full coverage with just a half of a pump. But don’t for a moment think that it’s going to feel heavy on skin. On the contrary, it is also lightweight and hydrating. Promising to deliver a 24-hour wear, thanks to its waterproof, sweat-proof, and transfer-proof formula, it also offers a smooth finish.

The Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation is available in 32 shades, retails at SGD93 and you can find it at the Hourglass counter at Tangs Orchard and at Sephora.

Dior Skin Glow Foundation

New Foundation Dior

Dior’s iconic Forever fluid foundation has long been associated with flawless, matte finish and long wear. If you’re looking for the same unparalleled quality but in a different finish, you’d be happy to know that Dior will be launching the Dior Forever Skin Glow.

Lightweight and hydrating, the Forever Skin Glow adheres well to skin and gives skin a illuminating glow. A unique plant-derived hydrophobic coating can also be found in the formula to resist humidity, so that the colour won’t move, change, or fade in the most unforgiving weather.

Together with the Forever foundation, the range offers 67 shades. It will retail at SGD85, available at all Dior counters from 15 February.

Shu Uemura Unlimited Breathable Lasting Foundation

New Foundation Shu Uemura

We haven’t even gotten over how great the Shu Uemura Petal Skin Fluid Foundation is, and the Japanese brand is already planning to amaze us with yet another phenomenal foundation.

Coming our way in March, the upcoming Shu Uemura Unlimited Breathable Lasting Foundation is created by the brand based on an extensive study of 3,000+ Asian women from North to South Asia. What this means is that the 24 shades in the range are going to be precisely matching to Asian skin tones.

The foundation is also infused with Japanese organic rice extract to protect skin from UV damage, prevent dullness, and keep foundation from changing colour. It also boasts of a weightless, breathable texture, and 16-hour long wear.
