While some hacks are pretty ingenious, this one takes the cake for being outright bizarre. It is so wild yet fascinating to watch — and we can’t help but share it with you readers here.
This time, the trend revolves around one of the most viral beauty techniques that already stresses quite a few of us out when we attempt it. And just when you thought you got the hang of contouring, this one will make you feel dumbfounded again.
Started by user @mirtonjam, this ‘pixel contour’ hack involves drawing a white grid of squares on your face and filling them in with different shades of concealer, foundation, bronzer, and blusher to ultimately give you a flawless, full-glam beat.

Although it looks strange, we must admit that it is quite satisfying to see the end result. The rest of TikTok must have had the same sentiment as the video spread like wildfire across the platform, racking up over 103.5 million views, making it the most viewed video under the hashtag #contour.
Many others have also jumped on the ‘pixel contour’ bandwagon, most of whom ended up with results that we think is not quite worth the wait.

If you want to try out this trick for yourself, gather your makeup brushes and contour palette and draw a white grid across your face. Paint on bronzer in the squares located where you would normally apply.
Next, apply blusher sparingly around the apples of your cheeks. Lastly, fill the rest of the squares up with different shades of foundation or concealer; the lighter ones at places you want to highlight such as the nose bridge, chin, or under-eye.
