Daily Vanity Logo

There’s much to look forward to every time Sephora opens a new outlet in Singapore: glossy black and white interior, fully-stocked shelves, and never-swatched-before makeup testers.

But Sephora’s newest store at Raffles City is quite unlike the others we’ve witnessed before. Besides boasting a clean, modern look, the store features a whole slew of new digital features, holistic beauty services, carefully curated products, as well as makeup workshops – so many firsts for a new Sephora outlet!

Named the first-ever “Store of the Future” in Asia, Sephora at Raffles City will take you on a seamless journey from the moment you step into the store, till when you leave – hands filled with beauty must-haves, of course.

Mark your calendars, because Sephora’s Store of the Future will be officially opening its doors at Raffles City on 23 September 2022. You might just be the first to get your hands on Sephora’s brand-new offerings and sweep your fingers across the brand-new pressed powder testers on the shelves.

We don’t know about you, but we’re always looking to influencers and social media creators to share how they achieve their best makeup looks with us, whether it’s dewy “clean girl” makeup or a Cassie-inspired style.

Sephora knows it, which is why they’ve brought a “Play Table” to their newest store.

Where you can view video tutorials of the season’s trending looks – right now, it’s the “Effortless Makeup Look” and the “Golden Hour Glow”, the “Play Table” lets you discover the best products that you can use to recreate your favourite makeup styles.

The Sephora Squad, which is a network of selected beauty influencers, are the ones behind the chosen looks and “how-to” content that’s shown on screen. You’ll be shopping looks like how you would when you’ve been inspired on TikTok (been there, done that).

Find curated skincare products for your skin concerns

If you get overwhelmed looking at shelves of skincare products and find it difficult to narrow down on the best ones for your skin, there’s no need to fear because Sephora’s got you covered at the “Care Table”.

The “Care Table” features a curated selection of skincare products according to most-searched concerns such as acne-prone or blemished skin, dry skin, and oily skin, to name a few.

In each section, you’ll find a handful of products that are best loved for different skin types. Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser, for one, a fan-favourite product for gently cleansing the skin without stripping it of moisture, currently takes a prominent spot at the Sensitive Skin table.

Pick up certain products and more information about them will show up on the screen too. It saves you the hassle of whipping out your phone to find out more about the products that you’re unfamiliar with.

Pssst! Download the Sephora app and you’ll be able to scan any product that you pick up in-store for more information and authentic online reviews.

Get a complimentary skin scan and analysis

Should you need more insight into your skin, then head over to a snug corner of the “Skincare Lounge” for a free 15-minute consultation with Sephora’s skincare experts.

Skincare experts will scan your skin – your forehead, cheek, and under-eye area – with a dermatologist-grade skincare app for a quick overview of your skin’s moisture levels, fine lines, pores, and sebum.

Besides explaining the results, they’ll also share the best products at Sephora for your skin type and concerns so that you have a better idea of what would work for your complexion.

This is the first time at a Sephora store in Singapore that you’ll be able to get much more than quick recommendations from Beauty Experts on the best shade of foundation to match your complexion, or a hydrating lipstick for your chapped lips.

That’s right, at Sephora’s Raffles City outlet, you get to attend entire educational masterclasses that’ll really let you dive into the how-tos of makeup. These classes will be held in a dedicated space within Sephora’s store, the Beauty School.

Equipped with large screens all around, a long table, bar stools, and partitioned with glass doors, the Beauty School is a comfortable, conducive space for anyone and everyone who want to learn more about makeup.

The classes will include tutorials on trending looks like getting a golden hour glow or wearing effortless clean girl makeup, as well as cover basics such as how to wear blush.

Do note that you’ll have to pay for these classes.
