Watermelon-infused products are a thing and here are the ones to try

While it’s perpetually summer here in Singapore, the northern parts of the world are gearing up for welcome the warm, sunny days ahead. And what better way to celebrate hot summer season than with something cooling like watermelon?

Not only is the delicious fruit made up of mostly water – it has a whopping 92% water content, it also contains a chock full of vitamins and antioxidants such as lycopene and vitamins A, C and E. And it’s not just the flesh that’s been found to be beneficial to the skin: the seeds can reduce irritation, boost collagen and retain moisture, and the Koreans have been using the rind to soothe aggravated skin for centuries.

So, it’s no surprise that watermelon is having a moment right now. We’re currently swooning over the latest watermelon skincare by American grocery store chain Trader Joe’s, which is launched just in time for summer. The limited-edition launch features a refreshing Watermelon Facial Mist and a skin-softening Watermelon Overnight Face Mask, both of which sound super revitalising for the skin.
