A Healthy Diet Makes All the Difference

Chuando strongly believes that “you are what you eat.” According to him, what we eat has a 70% effect on how we look and feel.

Not only does a healthy diet keep him looking good, but it also helps him feel good from within, both physically and mentally.

It’s important to start the day right, which is why his go-to breakfast is six hard-boiled eggs, removing the yolk from two eggs to manage his cholesterol levels. For added nutrition and flavour, he would occasionally throw an avocado and berries into the mix.

Chuando’s meals follow one simple rule: they always incorporate lean protein. A typical meal consists of chicken with rice, grilled vegetables, and clear fish broth.

As much as he believes in the importance of maintaining a healthy diet, he doesn’t shy away from the occasional indulgence in desserts like ice cream. It’s all about a good balance!

Chuando also completely abstains from coffee and tea, and instead, drinks only water to keep himself hydrated.

Seeing how diligent he is in maintaining a healthy diet, it goes without saying that he does not drink or smoke.

To fortify his immunity, he makes sure to take a vitamin C supplement for its powerful antioxidant properties, which helps with skin and body repair.

Staying Active Keeps Your Body Fit and Strong

As much as diet plays a big part in keeping fit, it is important to take time out of your week (or day) for physical activity.

His fitness routine heavily revolves around strength training, with him taking the time to fulfil three to four half-hour sessions a week. He also does not forget to slip in some simple cardio like brisk walks on the treadmill and daily swims.

Chuando offers another tip about incorporating compound movements like squats, lunges, bench presses, and pull-ups into your workout routines. These exercises target various muscle groups and can help burn calories and build muscle mass.

If you have the habit of exercising outdoors, Chuando recommends doing it either in the early mornings or evenings for safe sun exposure.

This way, you can ensure you get enough sunlight and vitamin D, which helps with bone health and mood regulation, without exposing your skin to the glaring afternoon sun.

Do Not Neglect Your Mental Health

When it comes to keeping fit and looking young, most people don’t realise the importance of mental health and the impacts it has on your overall well-being.

While it is incredibly important to eat clean and stay active, your internal state can be reflected on your external appearance as well.

Chuando advises all to cultivate a good relationship with your loved ones. Strong social connections provide emotional support and can contribute to the betterment of your mental health and well-being. It also wards off feelings of isolation and loneliness, which can accelerate ageing!

He also believes that a positive mindset can mitigate the effects of ageing. Not only does optimism enable one to embrace challenges while maintaining a positive attitude, he believes it can enhance the overall quality of life.
