How to rock the wispy lashes trend
Before we get into the details of how to wear a wispy lash style, you should know that the most important feature of this look is that lashes are shorter at the inner corners, and longer on the outer ends of the eye. It gives a similar effect to a winged eyeliner style, lifting the eyes and lending an extra sparkle!
1. Look for quality wispy lashes
While there are several ways that you can make your eyelashes look stunningly wispy, the first step is always to buy a good set of false wispy eyelashes.
2. Loosen the spine of the wispy lash strip
Once you’ve got your choice of wispy lashes, it’s time to prep them for your eyes. It’s good practice to loosen the spine of your lash strips by bending them back and forth before you put them on. This will help the wispy lashes to adhere to your eyelids more easily.
3. Cut the wispy lash strip
While the usual steps to wearing falsies are measuring the artificial lashes against the length of your eye, trimming off the excess, then glueing the entire lash strip to the eyelids, users on TikTok are putting on their wispy lashes in a brand new fashion.

Instead of just snipping away the extra length, they’re cutting the false wispy lashes at one-third of their length. This gives volume to mostly the outer edges of the eye – the trick to achieving the wide-eyed wispy lash style!
4. Apply lash glue to the wispy lashes
Using a pair of tweezers or your fingers, pick up the longer section of the wispy strip lash (two-thirds of the false lashes). Apply the lash glue to the spine of the wispy lashes and wait until the glue is almost dry.
The glue will have a tacky texture that’ll make it easy for your wispy lashes to stick to your eye, without getting messy.

5. Use a pair of tweezers to press on the wispy lashes
Place your false wispy lashes above your natural lashes and press down on them using the pair of tweezers. This keeps them firmly attached so that you can enjoy them all day long!
6. Bonus: Add to the outer corners of your eyes

For that extra volume and lift, attach the remaining lash strips – you can cut them in half if they’re too long for your eye – to the outer corners of your eyes!
The small sections of lashes will go over the false wispy lashes you already have on, letting you own the ultimate bright-eyed wispy style, all with an easy touch of glamour.
7. Finish with an eyelash curler
