bintan spa package feature

Sometimes, we’ve been so stressed out by work and life in general that a girls’ night in or a pamper night at home just doesn’t cut it anymore. You may want to plan a rejuvenating holiday away from it all at the end of the year, but sometimes a protracted holiday to somewhere far away like Europe or America might backfire and cause you even more stress – and who wants that during the year-end festive season?

Forget about jam-packed travel schedules if all you really want is a vacation to slow down and take a break from all the hustle and bustle in your life. We can’t think of a better way to do this than spa packages at island resorts. Here are six Bintan spa packages you can consider trying so you can end your 2017 with a sigh of relief.

1. Banyan Tree Bintan Spa

If you frequently go on vacations at resorts, you would certainly have heard of Banyan Tree before.

Located on Bintan Island, Banyan Tree Bintan is a collection of villas that sit on a hillside above a white sand beach and a secluded bay. It’s great for travelers and spa-goers looking for a good, quiet break from their hectic working life.

You can choose from four spa package options: Royal Banyan, Javanese Lulur, Balinese Boreh and Restful Balance. The resort experience and spa packages might be rather pricey but you are getting what you pay for here.

Reviewers have raved about its “impeccable service”. This Singaporean reviewer said that “everything was done with a smile and good cheer”, and that they would “highly recommend” the resort to their friends.

The resort comes with three spa packages to choose from. If you are on a honeymoon or a couple trip, sign up for Essence of Angsana (Duet), their 100-minute spa experience for couples.

If you’re flying solo, the Java Jive spa package will make you feel revitalised and pampered like a Javanese princess. For guys, Ayurvedic Voyage is a great spa package to unwind tense muscles and to relax to the soothing sea breeze.

A reviewer even went back to the spa a second time because he found the massage experience to be “exceptional” and the staff to be “extremely friendly and helpful”.

3. D’Bintan Spa

If the above two options are out of your budget, consider D’Bintan Spa. You get a high quality spa experience at a more affordable price point. It isn’t a resort in itself like the above two options are, but it is nevertheless a great for practical travelers looking for a fuss-free spa package.

D’Bintan Spa offers a good assortment of spa packages, and you can even mix and match them. Pair your hot stone massages along with a foot massage, or try a tropical massage and top it off with a facial.

If you are looking to pamper yourself with relaxing treatments and massages for the whole day, D’Bintan offers a full day spa package at around USD150. If you spend a minimum of USD50, the spa also provides free transport to and from your hotel.

“If there’s such a thing as Heaven, this is it!” said a reviewer, and we’re inclined to agree! We are 100% certain you won’t be able to find a spa experience like this here in Singapore – it’s set on stilts and floats above a mangrove river! Being a patron of this spa also means you get exclusive access to a private white sand beach nearby.

If you’d also like to complete the experience with a rustic, laidback meal, Aroma River Spa’s spa package also includes lunch options. Enjoy wood-fired pizza and nasi padang in the comfort of the spa’s floating bungalows.

A reviewer shared that the spa parlour is “highly recommended to … experience the real Indonesian lifestyle”. Do take note it is almost an hour’s drive from Bintan Resorts Ferry Terminal, so take advantage of the complimentary two-way land transfers that the spa offers.

Part of an award-winning portfolio from Asmara Lifestyle, Club Med Bintan Spa is situated on the water’s edge of the South China Sea. Inspired by the age-old Indonesian ‘mandi lulur’ treatment, it offers fantastic views and a great spa experience. A reviewer calls it “the most beautiful place in Bintan”.

For spa junkies obsessed with nature and ocean scenery, Club Med Bintan would be that island resort you’d fall in love with at first sight. The massage huts are decorated with greenery and you can choose sea-facing massage rooms if you favour the sound of the sea and its breeze.

6. Bintan Agro Beach Resort & Spa

Bintan Agro Beach Resort can be reached by sea via two international ferry terminals: Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) in the north and Sri Bintan Pura (SBP) in the south. It’s a four star resort with fantastic oceanic views.

Reviewers have mentioned that it is priced affordably. You not only get a wholesome resort and spa experience, but you even get to watch fireflies!  A reviewer on Trivago talked about his experience of “watching firebugs and Milky Way in the mangrove forest” and stated his intention of returning for a second time.

Their range of spa packages range from Aromatherapy Massage to King and Queen Spa Package. Do take note that the spa itself is pretty far off from the more developed area of Bintan, Lagoi. The resort, however, has sufficient facilities for visitors to enjoy during their vacation, from snorkeling, to kayaking and fishing.
