Attention, all makeup lovers! A new blush palette has surfaced and we’re absolutely fawning over its soft shades and jade pebble design, along with many Xiao Hong Shu users.
The Green Jade Series matte blusher palette was conceptualised by TIMAGE (also known as ‘Caitang’ or ‘彩棠’), founded in 2014 by Chinese celebrity makeup artist Tang Yi.
With 20 years of makeup experience under his belt, Tang Yi has created makeup looks for stars like Yao Chen, Zhang Ziyi, Liu Yifei, and Zhao Liying.
What is TIMAGE all about?
Known as a makeup brand that caters to Chinese faces, TIMAGE’s products inherit Chinese aesthetics with a modern twist, such as incorporating international makeup trends.
Drawing inspiration from Chinese ink paintings to create customised makeup, the brand seeks to illustrate its ethos: the beauty of essence, the beauty of simplicity, and the beauty of China.
Tang Yi is also the creator of the original “blank” Chinese makeup technique which presents the natural charm and beauty of a woman with simple makeup.
The Green Jade Series matte blusher palette
Now, on to the matte blush palette that’s made to accentuate your unique features.
Shaped like a begonia flower and with a gorgeous jade design, the palette is likened to a jade pebble one could find in crystal waters.
This jade makeup palette features five versions of a tri-colour palette with three complementary colours: Vine Frost, Shy Peach Blossom, Playful Apricot, Wild Osmanthus, and Sunset Afterglow.
The Vine Frost Cold Purple Palette includes milk purple, vine purple, and milk taro grey purple — translucent colours made for fair and olive skin tones. Wild Osmanthus features milk tea tones that are suitable for the classic, daily makeup look. The Sunset Afterglow is an orange-brown palette fit for those with yellowish undertones and darker skin tones.
How the jade makeup palette works
Although there are three colours, you can pick just one or layer them together to achieve a three-dimensional look.
In each palette, there’s a “swelling colour” that helps brighten sunken areas of the face, a “theme colour” that improves your overall complexion, and a “shrinking colour” that creates a gentle gradient.
Its fine silk powder glides onto the skin and blends effortlessly for a long-lasting effect. Practical and artistic, you’ll be able to create textured blush looks like a pro and even out the hollow areas of your face.
Green Jade Series matte blusher palette retails for about S$71.28 on LookHealthyStore.
