1. A’Pieu Wasabiya Lip Plumper
If getting lips as plump as Kylie Jenner is one of your lifelong dreams, here’s a product that can instantly give you fuller lips without the need for Botox injections.
Containing Wasabia Japonica Root Extract, otherwise known as wasabi, this product not only gives a temporary plumping effect, but also contains antioxidant and antimicrobial benefits that are good for your lips. It comes in two different colours, clear and pink.
According to online reviews, there’s not much of a taste in this wasabi lip plumper, but it does come with a peppery citrus scent that you can taste a slight tinge of – almost as though you’re applying wasabi on your lips!

2. Fullips Lip Plumping Enhancer
If wasabi on your lips doesn’t sound very appealing, you can also try this hard plastic device that uses self-suction to enhance your lip fullness.
Simply put the opening of the product over your mouth, gently suck in for 15-30 second increments, and you’ll get full lips that last any time between one to four hours.

3. Mala Toothpaste
This is one toothpaste that mala fans will absolutely love.
Chinese toothpaste company Leng Suan Ling partnered with hot pot chain Xiao Long Kan to release this limited edition mala-flavoured toothpaste. The toothpaste comes in three levels of spiciness – mildly spicy, medium spicy, and “perversely“ spicy (bian tai la) – and a set of three costs CNY9.99 (around SGD19.70).
If you are wondering whether this can really feed your mala addiction, you’ll be excited to know that many satisfied customers have attested to the spiciness of the toothpaste – one even said that the toothpaste had a numbing effect, much like the original mala sauce.
Unfortunately, all 4000 sets were snapped up after the release, so it is currently out of stock on Taobao. That being said, there is a possibility that this mala toothpaste may be restocked in future, so keep your eyes peeled!
4. Bacon Addicts Bacon Flavor Toothpaste Flavored Tooth Paste
For the ones that can’t take the heat, check out this one that tastes like bacon!
In all seriousness, the official Bacon Addicts’ website details the difficulty of using a strip of fried bacon to brush your teeth – it breaks apart if it’s too crisp, and is ineffective in removing any plaque if it’s too limp. Hence, the perfect way to keep your teeth and gums healthy while delighting in the delicious flavour of smokey meat is none other than this unique toothpaste.
5. Stinky Tofu Perfume
You either love or hate stinky tofu, the fermented street snack that is most commonly found in Taiwan night markets.
We can’t say the same about this perfume that smells exactly like stinky tofu, no matter how much you love the smelly snack, but it sure makes for an extremely memorable gift.
6. J-Scent Sumo Wrestler Perfume
Have you ever wanted to smell like a sumo wrestler? You can now, thanks to the J-Scent Sumo Wrestler Perfume by Luz.
Before you reject the idea of spraying the scent of sweat and grime all over yourself, hear us out – this fragrance is actually a lot less strange than it initially sounds.
While it is inspired by the genuine scent of sumo wrestlers, it is based on the hair oil that they use, so what you get is a delightful mix of eucalyptus, anise, violet, heliotrope, musk, patchouli, and sandalwood.
The gender-neutral perfume has even garnered a decent rating of 3.58 out of 5 on Fragantica, with reviewers saying that they were quite impressed by how fresh and unique this smells!

7. HOLIKA HOLIKA Peko Pure Essence Jelly Mask Sheet
We’ve seen our fair share of animal sheet masks, but here’s one that will take you by surprise: a jelly face mask that has Peko-chan’s face printed on it!
This strange sheet mask comes in three different variants (strawberry, kiwi, and lemon), and is said to effectively brighten your skin after 20 minutes of looking like the adorable Japanese candy mascot – we’ll take it!

8. Yamato Cosmetics Buddha Sheet Mask
Just when you thought sheet masks can’t get any weird, Japanese beauty brand Yamato Cosmetics launched a sheet mask with Buddha’s face printed on it.
According to the product website, it contains blended rice fermentation liquid (sake) that will “lead to a mysterious and healthy feeling like a Buddha” – we’re not sure what that means, but you can try it out and see if it can bring zen to your tired skin.

9. Anese Calm Your Tits Boob Mask
If face masks are too conventional for you, how about a boob mask?
Although this sounds a bit strange, it is actually very useful, especially for breastfeeding mothers or those who suffer from chronically dry skin. It is an intensely nourishing mask enriched with collagen, green tea, and organic hone, and is said to really improve the perkiness, glow, and firmness of your breasts.

10. Dr. Brandt Skincare MAGNETIGHT Age-Defier Mask
This looks like something straight out of a science lab, and we promise that it is as fun as it looks.
The magnetised mask from Dr. Brandt Skincare actually contains micro-magnetic iron particles that create electromagnetic interactions that travel the skin’s surface. These electromagnetic interactions draw out toxins and daily residue so that your skin looks younger and more radiant – not created purely for the ‘gram!

11. COSRX Blackhead Silk Finger Ball
You’ve heard of using clay to remove blackheads, but what about… silk cocoons?
COSRX Blackhead Silk Finger Ball uses 100% natural silk cocoons to gently remove blackheads and sebum, and are suitable even for the most sensitive skin. You are also encouraged to massage your face with silk balls for supple skin.
That being said, most reviewers seem to have pretty mixed feelings about the cocoons’ efficacy, but we think it’s still a pretty interesting beauty product worth trying out.

12. Flat-D Reusable Flatulence Deodorizer
You can say goodbye to horrible flatulence odours with this reusable charcoal cloth pad, designed to absorb and eliminate any nasty smells.
Some reviewers claim that this actually works, but the efficacy may wear off after a while, so you are highly recommended to stock up on this if flatulence is a serious problem that you are struggling with.

13. RoboCut Bumblebee DIY Tool
Good haircuts can be costly, and DIIY haircuts mostly disastrous… or not!
RoboCut launched an electric-powered precision haircutting tool that attaches directly to your vacuum cleaner – hair is drawn into the blades from your vacuum suction and then cut with precision.
No hairdressing experience is needed to make this work – all you have to do is set the hair-length dial to get the hair length that you want. This device may sound dubious, but it has actually gotten pretty good reviews, and even has loyal fans who repurchase this for more than a decade!

14. wet n wild Rebel Rose Color Icon Cream Blush
This black blush from wet n wild actually applies as a gorgeous magenta-pink that livens up even the dullest of complexions – we highly recommend buying this for a friend and watching her priceless expression when she realises that the blush is not quite what it seems!
Get this at SGD23.63 here.
15. Voya Lazy Days Seaweed Bath
Forget luxurious and colourful bath bombs – seaweed is the ingredient you’ll want to have in your bath.
It’s a little terrifying to see the seaweed rehydrate and spring back to life when in contact with water, but you may feel a little more assured knowing that seaweed baths have been used for generations in the care and repair of the skin, and have shown to help against signs of ageing and cellulite.

16. Tony Moly Haeyo Mayo Hair Nutrition Pack
We like our mayonnaise in our egg sandwiches, but on our hair? Uhh….
Before you squirm in disgust and move on to the next product, let us put in a good word for this hair mask: it is not actually enriched with mayonnaise, but egg yolk extract that nourishes and smoothens your hair so that it looks healthy and shiny.
And not to worry– the mask will leave your hair smelling like a sweet blend of vanilla and macadamia nuts, not eggs!

17. Eyelid Trainer
Want double eyelids without going under the knife? Try this Japanese invention that claims to exercise eye muscles so that they form the desired double crease shape.
All you have to do is wear this gizmo on your face like a pair of inverted glasses – as you blink, you ‘train’ your eyelids to get bigger. It was reported to have sold 7,000 units in its first month of sales alone, but whether this strange device really works or not is debatable.
Get this at SGD2.85 here.
18. Bihana Nose Adjuster Clip
A sharper nose is another facial feature widely desired by Asians, so it’s no surprise that the Japanese have also come up with a beauty product to train your nose into becoming sharper and slimmer. The straightforward device simply clips on and works to place pressure on the skin around the bone in your nose.
It is said to give ‘incremental improvements to the appearance of your nose’ after wearing it overnight once. Unfortunately, there are no reviews on this product yet, so you’ll have to give this a shot and find out for yourself if it really works.
